Our Story

Our Story:

Andrew Rennie, age 11, with a Whillans harness and Fire shoes, Murrin Park, Squamish BC

We are hard core climbers first and foremost, we started young and were climbing hard before climbing even became socially acceptable. Daredevils they called us, “do you have a death wish?” they would ask. The answer is of course not! We wish to live, to live a full life in the mountains, to let the fire and the passion for life burn its brightest! “Get a job!” they would always tell us… Well I guess now we have one, sharing our passion with people from all walks of life, and we love it! We are still in love with climbing and we still make every endeavor to do it as safely as possible.

Safety was in fact the reason we started our own company, after working for others for many years we knew we could do better. As industrial rope access technicians we bring a background of professional work at height safety to our business, equipment undergoes documented inspections regularly and training is done with anyone who works with us, mentorship and supervision is critical to constant learning and improvement. Mentorship is a two-way street and the mentor benefits greatly too by staying current, keeping up with new techniques and questioning what they’ve previously learned.

You benefit from all of this as well, you can be confident that your guide is trained, ACMG certified, current, and equipped with quality equipment to minimize risk while providing an exciting and very real experience. We hope that you will consider climbing with us and the network of guides who work with us, the guides we hire are not only safety conscious but they are kind, personable, charismatic and share the same love and passion we do.

We hope you’ll join us for your next adventure!

Sincerely,

Andrew and Hannah Rennie
