Andrew is co-owner of Rock Solid Guides Ltd. He is certified as an ACMG Alpine Guide, an IRATA3/SPRAT3 Rope Access Technician, and an OFA Level 3 First Aid Attendant. Originally from North Vancouver he began climbing in Squamish in the late 90's and was inspired by guides to take his passion for climbing higher, into the mountains. One of his greatest joys is facilitating similar experiences for young people, directing their lives towards the mountains and giving back to the sport that has given him so much. After many great years of full-time climbing he went on to the University of Otago, New Zealand where he gained a double major degree in exercise science and exercise prescription.

Barbequing in the alpine with a heli-portable grill, Andrew takes having a good time seriously!!

Andrew has worked all over Western Canada as a professional guide, rope access technician, mountain safety technician and rescue technician. Andrew has also worked internationally as a guide in New Zealand and a mountain safety technician for industrial projects in Kyrgyzstan, Fiji, and Oman.

He has climbed in New Zealand, Patagonia, Colombia, Peru, Croatia, Sweden, Thailand, Morocco, Australia, Spain, and the USA. Andrew is always psyched for the next adventure! He loves all types of climbing but his favorite climbs are long multipitch trad climbs on big granite alpine walls and towers.
